About Course
This course is designed to equip individuals with the competencies required for entry-level positions in the welding industry. Learners will gain basic welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Oxy-Acetylene welding & cutting, and plastic welding. Learners will also gain an understanding of welding safety, technical drawing, and material & workplace preparation.

Assessment

Formative and summative assessments will be used. MIOG-NP trainers will conduct internal assessments, while external verifiers will carry out verification. Trainees will also maintain a portfolio of evidence as part of continuous assessment.
